  • It is said that from 右 represents a prayer recited by a priest, and エ from is a table that he lays the prayer on.

  • Note that ノ of 右 is slightly shorter than ノ of 左, and 一 of 右 is a little longer than that of 左.

  • ノ of 左 is actually the left arm, so it's longer. On the other hand, ノ of 右 is the hand part, so it's shorter.

  • Besides, ノ is the first stroke of 右, and 一 is the first stroke of 左 (in Japan).
